About Me

My name is Anastasija, and I am the friendly face behind Stasi Lashes.

My journey in the beauty industry started off in early 2016 when I first decided to take the Classic Eyelash Extension certification in Europe. I quickly became passionate and intrigued with the art of Eyelash Extensions, as I still remember how happy and confident I felt after getting my very first set back in 2010. I wanted to be able to spread that same joy to others.

Over the last couple years, I have continued to pursue my education in the field. I became fascinated by industry and have added many more services to my beauty studio, such as Facials, Volume Lash Extensions, Lash Lifts & Tints, Brow Lamination, Tint & Shaping.

It has been so uplifting and rewarding being able to give my clients the confidence they all deserve all while enhancing their natural beauty. I take great pride in my work ensuring that all of my clients leave happy, relaxed and pleased with their service.

I look forward to meeting you at your upcoming appointment and thank you for taking the time to get to know me!

I understand extraordinary circumstances can happen outside of your control; however, I do kindly ask that you give 24-hour notice if you must cancel or reschedule your appointment. Changes or cancellations made after 24-hours are subject to a cancellation fee of 50 % per your booked service.
  • Late Arrival Policy
If you are running late, please notify me as soon as possible. Please note that if you are over 15 minutes late for your appointment, we might have to reschedule your service if it cannot be completed in the remaining time frame and will result in a 50% charge per service made.
  • No Show Policy
Anyone who does not show up for their appointment will be responsible for the full cost of the service. If you cancel less than 1 hour prior to your scheduled appointment time, you will be charged 100% of the service ticket.
  • Booking Policy
A valid credit card must be on file to book all appointments; however, you may pay as you please upon arrival. I strongly suggest pre-booking any refills after your service before leaving the studio to ensure you are able to get an appointment at the time and date needed.
  • Other Artist Work
I do not fill over other artists' work. If you are currently having eyelash extensions on from another lash artist, your lash extensions will need to be removed.
  • Lash Refill Policy
If more than 40% of your lashes are detached or grown out it will be considered a new full set of lashes. 2 Week Fills: From the last lash appointment no more than 17 days. Must have a minimum of 50 % of lash extensions remaining. 3 Week Fills: From the last lash appointment no more than 24 days. Must have a minimum of 40 % of lash extensions remaining. 4+ Week Fills: You will need a new full set of lashes. Even if you have great lash retention, lashes need maintenance to ensure your lashes are happy and healthy.
  • Cell Phone Policy
I ask that all cell phones be turned off or on silent in the treatment room. If you are receiving a lash session, I ask that you do not open your eyes to check devices until after your session is complete. This may irritate your eyes during and/or after your session, and also will take time away from your service.
  • Makeup Policy

  • What are eyelash extensions?
Eyelash extensions are semi-permanent fibers carefully attached to each natural eyelash to enhance them to appear longer, thicker, darker and/or curled. The goal of lash extensions is to give the eyes a made-up appearance without mascara or lash curler.
  • What is the difference between Classic lashes and Volume lashes?
Classic lashes is a simple method where a single lash extension is applied to each natural lash. Classic lashes are perfect for clients who have many natural lashes and simply want to add more length and curl to their existing lashes. This method is a great option for clients wanting a natural mascara look.
  • What are lash extensions made of?
Lash extensions are made from a safe synthetic material called PBT (Polybutylene Terephthalate). For marketing purposes, they are often named “faux mink”, “faux silk” or “faux cashmere”. The main difference between the various types is the weight, shape, color, and finish.
  • How long do lash extensions last?
Lash extensions can last up to six weeks, depending on how well you care for your lashes. However, to maintain the full look of your lashes, refills will be required every two to three weeks.
  • How long does the application process take?
Depending on the desired lash look and the client’s natural lash density, the initial application process for lash extensions, referred to as a “full-set”, takes approximately two and a half hours to four hours.
  • Will eyelash extensions damage my natural lashes?
Not at all! When eyelash extensions are properly applied, they will not damage your natural lashes. Properly means that the length and thickness of each lash extension is tailored to your natural lashes. Additionally, using professional techniques of lash isolation and amounts of adhesive ensure your natural lashes remain healthy.
  • What if I have skin sensitivities and allergies?
Skin sensitivities and allergies are extremely rare in a professional setting. Health and safety is my utmost concern. I use the highest quality products and sanitation protocols the beauty industry offers. If you are concerned with how sensitive you may be to certain products, I offer patch testing days before your initial appointment. During scheduling, please mention your interest in preliminary patch testing to ensure proper arrangements can be made.
  • Can I have lash extensions during pregnancy?
Yes, you can. However, the following are a few things to consider before deciding if lash extensions are suitable during your pregnancy: 1. You will need to lie flat on your back for more than an hour which most pregnant ladies find uncomfortable. 2. There will be changes in hormones, which may cause you to be hypersensitive to things you’ve never had issues with before pregnancy. 3. Hormones during pregnancy will also affect the retention of your lash extensions.
  • How do I care for my lash extensions?
I recommend the following best practices: In the first 24-hours after application, do not clean your lashes and avoid steam and high temperatures. Avoid getting oil-based products on your lash extension, such as makeup removers, creams, face washes, etc. Regardless of whether you wear makeup, clean your lashes every day with an anti-bacterial lash cleanser. Do not rub, pick or pull your lashes. If possible, avoid sleeping on your face. Gently brush lashes with the styling wand provided to you after your appointment. Do not manually curl or perm your lash extensions. Avoid using cotton balls and rounds on your lashes as they will get caught and pull out extensions.
  • Can I wear makeup with lash extensions?
Absolutely. One of the major benefits of having lash extensions is that you look amazing without makeup. If you prefer to add an extra pop of color, you can wear makeup with lash extensions. Please consider the following when doing so: Mascara should not be worn with eyelash extensions. In general, lash extensions should never have makeup products directly applied to them or on the lash line. It is best to avoid oil-based products. Rather, use water-based makeup and makeup removers. All makeup should be thoroughly removed at the end of the day.
  • How often do I need to come back for refills?
Due to the shedding cycle of our natural lashes, we lose, on average, three lashes per day. Therefore, it is highly recommended to schedule your refill appointments every two to three weeks. Longer than three weeks will most likely require a full set appointment.
  • How do I prepare for a lash appointment?
Dress comfortably. A full set can take up to four hours. Comfortable clothes will allow you to lay down in a relaxed non-restricted manner. Come to your appointment without any makeup around your eye area, including concealers and foundations. Also, do not apply any creams and lotions. If possible, shower before your appointment. Avoiding any unnecessary contact with water or steam for the first 24-hours after your appointment will ensure the best adhesive bond for your lashes. Turn off your cellphone right before the appointment. A ringing phone can trigger the urge to open your eyes. Please refrain from drinking coffee before your appointment. Too much caffeine will make your eyes flicker.
  • What is a lash lift?
A lash lift issemi-permanent treatment thatlifts and curls your natural eyelashes by giving the result you would get from a curling tool.
  • How long does the lash lift last?
The lash lift can last from six to eight weeks, depending on how quickly your lashes grow and how well you care for your eyelashes.
  • How long does the lash lift treatment take?
The service takes approximately 60-90 minutes.
  • Can I get extensions with a lash lift?
No, once your lashes have been treated with a lash lift it is very difficult to add extensions. Also, the tint interferes with the extension glue and causes poor retention. Therefore, it is recommended to wait at least two weeks to get lash extensions after a lash lift.
  • Who is a candidate for a lash lift?
Nearly anyone is a candidate for a lift as long as they have lashes. Starting with healthy lashes will provide the best results. If you’re planning on ongoing lash lift treatments, I will recommend a conditioning lash serum to use in-between visits.
  • Who is not a good candidate for lash lifts?
People with chronic dry eye, conjunctivitis, damaged lashes or lashes with gaps (as this treatment may make the gaps more noticeable), active eye infections of any kind, trichotillomania (habitual pulling out of lashes), or who have had recent chemo treatments (you will need to wait at least a year from your last treatment). Pregnancy may also cause the lift not to work. When in doubt, always consult with your physician.
  • Will my lashes look dramatically thicker?
Lash extensions and lash lifts are very different services. For a lash lift, your existing natural lashes will be curled, and no additional lashes will be added.
  • Can I wear mascara with a lash lift?
Yes, mascara can be used with a lash lift. However, it is advised that you leave your lashes untouched for 24-hours after your treatment. Also, it is recommended to use non-waterproof mascara.
  • What is the application process?
The appointment consists of three steps. First, silicone shields are placed on your closed eyelids. Your lashes are then lifted to the shields, and serum is applied to them. This first serum is used to relax the protein in the lashes, which allows the lashes to take shape and mold onto the shield. Next, a neutralizer is applied to the lashes, which locks the lashes into place and begins conditioning them. If you have selected to add tint (to darken your lashes), the tint is then applied to the lashes. The last step creates the ultimate lash lift lamination. A solution enriched with nourishing ingredients is applied to your lashes to keep them healthy and hydrated.
  • How often can I get my lashes re-lifted?
You can get your lashes re-lifted every six to eight weeks. However, if your hair and nails grow fast, you may want a lash lift closer to every six weeks.
  • What are the aftercare instructions?
Lash lift is a very low maintenance procedure. The only care is within the first 24-hours after treatment. During that time, it’s essential to keep lashes completely bare. This means no mascara, serum, or eye creams. Also, avoid hot water, steam rooms, and swimming. Do not rub or touch your lashes right after treatment. Try to sleep on your back. And, do not use a lash curler.
  • Do I need an appointment?
Yes, most certainly. Stasi Lashes work by appointment only. If you would like to schedule an appointment, please book online or contact me via phone.
  • What is a Brow Lamination?
It is the process of smoothing and realigning the position of the brow hairs. Thus, allowing you to manipulate and style your brows while having them set in the desired shape. This treatment is perfect for anyone wanting to improve the overall look of their brows, also clients looking for a natural and fluffy brow.
  • How long does the Brow Lamination last?
The results of eyebrow lamination last 6-8 weeks, depending on your brow hair’s natural growth cycle and brow hair type.
  • How long does the Brow Lamination treatment take?
The brow lamination treatment should take between 45 to 60 minutes for the entire appointment depending on your hair type. This can also be combined with eyebrow tinting and shaping if desired.
  • Who is a candidate for Brow Lamination?
Brow lamination is perfect for anyone wanting to improve the overall look of their brows. Although it works on all types of eyebrow hair, it is best suited to those with textured, curly eyebrows that aren’t easy to tame and comb into one direction.
  • Who is this procedure not good for?
Brow Lamination may not be suitable for clients that: Have little or no brow hair. Suffer from a skin condition (Psoriasis, Eczema, Alopecia, sunburn, wounds, breakouts in the treatment area) or have very sensitive skin as the chemicals may cause irritation. Have Eye infection or inflammation. Had Recent Eye surgery. Had Recent Permanent makeup. Clients must wait a minimum of 6-8 weeks after the procedure to get Brow Lamination. The brow area must be completely healed. The lotions can affect the healing and cause injury if applied to an open wound. Exfoliating skin treatments (such as facials and laser facials), and skin products that cause the skin to regenerate quickly (retinol, AHA, BHA, Accutane) can cause the skin to thin out. Clients must wait a minimum of 4 weeks after their skin treatments (or follow the recommendation of their dermatologist), or approximately 6 months if on medication that affects the skin (such as Accutane). Pregnant or Breastfeeding. Hormones are fluctuating during pregnancy and can continue to do so during breastfeeding. Skin is usually more sensitive during this period, and the composition in the hair can change as well. Brow Lamination would not be suitable, as it can cause irritation or injury to the sensitized skin, and results are very unpredictable due to the change in hair.
  • Can I wear makeup with Brow Lamination?
Yes, after the initial 24 hours post Brow Lamination you are free to wear brow makeup.
  • What is the application process?
While each brow specialist may have different techniques for preparation depending on your hair, the process of brow lamination is pretty standard across the board. The appointment consists of three steps. The process begins by applying a perming solution to the brow hairs to temporarily relax and straighten them. Once relaxed, your brow hairs are brushed into your desired shape, and a neutralizing solution is applied to reform the hair bonds into their new shape and ensure a long-lasting result. The final step in creating the ultimate brow lamination is application of nourishing solution. It replenishes the brows which leaves them protected, smooth and shiny.
  • What are after care instructions?
It is important to take care of your eyebrows after a lamination. To ensure the lamination stays we recommend: Keep brows dry for 24 hours. Do not apply makeup or undertake further eye treatments for at least 24 hours after your treatment. Avoid swimming/sauna/working out for 24-48 hours. Any excess moisture after this time can cause a slight curl/frizz to the brow hair. Do not allow prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or heat. Do not apply Retin-A, AHA or exfoliate around the brow area for 72 hours either side of the treatment. No self-tanning products should be used on the face for one week prior and 48 hours after treatment. In the morning your laminated brows will require styling by brushing and setting in place.
  • How often can I get my brows re-laminated?
Brow laminations will last for the full natural brow shedding cycle which is typically 6-8 weeks. When the lamination is fully grown out, you can get another treatment. You don’t want to get them too often at risk of overprocessing the brows.
  • Is Brow Lamination Safe?
Yes, this process is perfectly safe. Please note, if you have pre-existing skin conditions, the treatment may irritate your skin. Discuss your concerns with me prior to your treatment.
  • Does it hurt?
Not at all! Brow lamination is a non-invasive treatment, so it’s meant to be a painless process. There is a chance for slight stinging due to the chemical makeup of the brow lamination solution. For the majority of the service though, it's very relaxing! Just be sure to communicate with me about any problems that you may have with skin sensitivity or any medications that might interfere with the brow lamination treatment.
  • Do I need an appointment?
Yes, most certainly. Stasi Lashes work by appointment only. If you would like to schedule an appointment, please book online or contact me via phone.
  • What is Permanent Makeup?
Permanent makeup, as it is most commonly referred to, is a form of cosmetic tattoo that uses needles and artistic tattoo machinery to implant pigments into the skin with the objective of enhancing facial features — most commonly eyeliners, eyebrows and lips.
  • Who benefits from Permanent Makeup?
People who meet minimum age requirements and have the ability to heal properly from minor wounds can benefit from the liberating benefits of permanent cosmetics. Interest in this service spans the young to the more mature; those who desire a soft, natural enhancement to their appearance. It is especially valuable to people who cannot wear traditional cosmetics due to allergies and skin sensitivities; active people who want to look their best for sport activities such as swimming, hiking, biking, tennis, aerobics; and those who do not want to worry about “sweating it off” or reapplying cosmetics. Permanent Makeup also benefits the vision challenged who have difficulty applying their cosmetics; and others with dexterity related conditions such as arthritis, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, stroke survivors, and busy people who do not have time to spend applying and refreshing make up throughout the day and evening.
  • How long does Permanent Makeup last?
The average is 1 to 3 years for richness in color and shape. Again, it is permanent, but the color will fade over time. It varies person to person because it is heavily affected by lifestyle and care (i.e., sun exposure, product use, skin type, climate changes etc.). Touch ups are recommended 1-2 years to keep the color rich and the shape intact.
  • Am I a candidate for Permanent Makeup?
Unfortunately, not everyone is a candidate for permanent makeup. The following is a list of circumstances that may disqualify you from receiving a PMU procedure. Under the age of 18 Pregnant, nursing, harvesting eggs, or trying to get pregnant Have viral infections/diseases Active cold or flu Epilepsy Hemophilia-Bleeding Disorder Have a pacemaker/Defibrillator or major heart problems Current chemotherapy or radiation treatment Platelet Disorders-Aggregation Disorders Currently on any of these medications, it will cause bleeding and the pigment WILL NOT retain: Triflusal (Disgren) Clopidogrel (Plavix) Prasugrel (Effient) Ticagrelor (Brilinta) Ticlopidine (Ticlid) Cilostazol (Pletal) Vorapaxar (Zontivity) Dipyridamole (Persantine) Coumadin Pradaxa (dabigatran) Xarelto (rivaroxaban) Eliquis (apixaban) Savaysa (edoxaban) Skin irritations near/or in the treatment area (rosacea, psoriasis, acne, eczema, sunburns, rashes, etc.) If you ever had Shingles on the face area Accutane use within the last 12 months Retin-A & Retinol use within the last 30 days Thyroid conditions (Graves’ Disease, Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis will require doctor's consent note for the treatment) AutoImmune Disorder of any kind (Multiple sclerosis, Rheumatoid arthritis, Lupus, Type 1 Diabetes or the like). Will require a note from your doctor giving consent for the procedure. Blood thinners & antibiotics Tendency towards keloids or scarring Have any scars in the treatment area (Will need to email a clear picture of the area for approval) Have had an organ transplant MRSA (can be very contagious) Botox and/or other injectables administered within the last 3 weeks Have Allergy to anesthetic (Lidocaine)
  • What are some risks/complications of Permanent Makeup?
I take all proper precautions for a safe session by using new disposable only products, disposable and sterilized needles and sanitized environment. Although allergic reactions to the pigments are rare, it is possible. I highly suggest a pigment patch test for individuals who have high skin sensitivities or are sensitive to topical makeup products. Patch tests should be performed 5-7 days prior. Additional complications include, asymmetry - although I make every effort to avoid this, keep in mind our faces are not symmetrical so adjustments may be needed during the follow-up session to correct any unevenness. Pigmentation loss can result from poor healing, infection, bleeding and not adhering to my aftercare instructions can affect more than normal retention. Although bruising or swelling is not common in some, excessive swelling or bruising can happen. In this case ice packs can help reduce swelling. Slight swelling calms within 3 days.
  • Are the pigments safe?
Specially formulated pigments have been created for the face and this is all I use. My pigment selections are of the highest grade and quality that undergo strict testing and regulations.
  • How long does the procedure take?
The average time for permanent makeup procedures takes around 2 ½-3 hours to complete. Time will be spent completing a consultation which includes discussion of your medical history, lifestyle, personality, design, color, and any questions or concerns you may have. The actual tattooing can take between 60 and 90 minutes depending on the tissue response.
  • How many appointments do I need?
If this is the first time having a procedure it is always a two-appointment process. The first appointment when we do a full consultation, discuss what you want to achieve, shape, color etc, fill in medical questionnaire, consent form, go through aftercare and give you your aftercare instructions and aftercare kit to take home with you and then do the treatment or several treatments all at the same time. Approximately 4-6 weeks later you will return for a touch up as there will always be some fade as well as allowing me to put more color in so it lasts longer.
  • What is a touch-up appointment?
During the initial procedure (first application), the tattooed area(s) will be saturated with as much color as possible. Due to swelling, there may be some areas where the tissue will no longer allow pigment to be implanted. Those areas will show less color after healing and may need another visit to be filled-in (a touch-up). First, the tattooed area must heal before a refinement procedure can be performed. It is best to wait 4 to 6 weeks for complete tissue healing and color stabilization. Once the desired results are achieved, the client can keep the color looking fresh with a maintenance visit 1-2 years.
  • What can I expect during the healing process?
Immediately following a procedure, there will be mild swelling, redness, or tenderness that lasts a few hours to a few days (eyebrows swell less than eyes and lips). There may also be slight bruising with lip procedures. The color looks much darker immediately afterward for any procedure. It will lighten a lot within 3 to 7 days and will continue to lighten over several weeks. Within 30-40 days you will see the true color as you have had a full cycle of cellular regeneration in which the tattoo has now become part of the dermis.
  • How long is the recovery?
Typically, you can go back to your everyday life with only minimal restrictions. Most clients go to work the same or the following day and do not feel it is necessary to take time off. All procedures do look bold initially and will be their darkest in the first 48 hours following the procedure. The complete healing process takes about 4-6 weeks.
  • Is it safe?
Every procedure we undergo carries a certain level of risk. Infections and allergic reactions, while not common, can occur. All tattoo artists in the state of Virginia are required to complete the Blood Borne Pathogen certification, which is the standard set to minimize exposure and prevent cross-contamination. All the equipment I use is disposable, and the pigments are of the highest quality in the industry. It is important that you follow the aftercare instructions I provide. These instructions will not only help ensure the best retention of color possible, but will also help reduce the risk of contracting an infection while your skin heals.
